Rat Dissection Manual
Respiratory System
The third section of the coloring book introduces the organs of the respiratory system, from the larynx and trachea down through the lungs. The lungs of the rat are arranged significantly differently than in humans, with the right lung divided into four lobes and the left lung only having one. Two views of the thoracic cavity are included in this section -- one with the thymus gland, and one with the thymus gland removed.
