About the Author
My name is James Dauray. I graduated with a B.S. in Animal Bioscience from the Pennsylvania State University in 2002. My original plan had been to move on to graduate schol or veterinary school, but during my senior year, I grew increasingly intrigued with the idea of teaching. I moved on and graduated with a M.Ed. in science education from Clarion University in 2004.
Since then, I have taught hundreds of students with a wide range of ages, abilities, and backgrounds. I spent a year in a private catholic school and a middle school before settling in teaching high school level environmental science, biology, and chemistry in the far northern suburbs of Chicago. I have also been able to work as an adjunct instructor at the College of Lake County, again teaching environmental science and biology. |
All of my materials on this website are based on what I have written and used for my own students.
Since posting these resources, I have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to contribute to textbooks and even write a mass-market paperback. This includes:
- Authoring the Complete Idiot's Guide to Environmental Science.
- Contributing to Scientific American Environmental Science For a Changing World by Karr, et. al.
- Contributing to Environmental Science: Issues and Solutions by Manuel Molles.
